LVCARDFREAK
In the league 20 years!
I am not sure where the Cards stand with signing Marcus Robinson right now, but they should not try to sign him if they want any trade down leverage in the draft.
Picture this scenario: The Jets have made no bones about the fact they would like to grab a WR in this draft and they like A. Johnson a lot. Johnson could be (depending on what Houston does) there at #6. However, the Jets wont try to trade up at #6 if they know the Cards have just signed Robinson-The Jets know that the Cards wont be interested in a WR this early if they have just signed one.
I know this is a little far-fetched considering Johnson probably wont make it past Houston, but if he does this could give the Cards lots of leverage to be able to trade down for the Jets #1 and say a second-third rounder.
