Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski’s first half was so impressive he earned the first All-Star nomination of his career. However, he has looked like a completely different pitcher as of late.
On Sunday, Wrobleski threw 3.1 innings of three-run baseball, allowing six hits and three walks while striking out three. The Dodgers trailed 4-1 entering the fifth inning. His latest outing continued a string of concerning performances from the left-hander.
Against the Chicago Cubs on Aug. 3, Wrobleski lasted just 4.1 innings against the Chicago Cubs, allowing seven hits and runs while walking three. He did strike out seven in his previous start against the Seattle Mariners. But Wrobleski also allowed seven hits and five earned runs over six innings.

The All-Star’s biggest problem has been the home run ball. He let up four against the Cubs and Mariners before seeing Ketel Marte take him yard on Sunday. Overall, to get back track, Wrobleski must mitigate his home runs given up and get the ball back on the dirt.
Even with his slump though, the lefty still has strong numbers in 2026. Over 19 starts, he holds a 3.44 ERA and a 94/27 K/BB ratio. Still, if Wrobleski continues to struggle, manager Dave Roberts will have some decisions to make.
That’s part of the reason Los Angeles traded for Tarik Skubal. With depth in the pitching department, when healthy, they can afford to mix-and-match or give a player like Wrobleski some extra time off if needed.
Still, if the lefty is on the mound, the Dodgers are expecting results. He’ll look to turn things around and keep the ball in the yard next time he steps on the mound.
