    Sweet one less thing to worry about. Plus I’m really hoping the spend #8 on defense. This ups the odds of that.

    Overpaid for what he has done, but short term get out if he doesn't keep improving I wanted to franchise him and draft a possible replacement but this contract doesn't really stop that plan

    I like it. I like DJ and I like the chances for him to continue to develop - he’s only 26.
    Good move. We have our LT. I like the chances of more pieces being put together... and for a serious, legit run at the post season next year.

    But isnt this contract front loaded 29 mil guaranteed in the 1st 2 year of a 30 mil total guarantee that gets us off the hook cheap later if he doesn't perform

    I believe this deal makes him the second highest paid player on the team for next year. Anyone know what the cap space is now? The sites aren’t updated yet.
