The New York Knicks won their first NBA championship in more than 50 years on Saturday night, engineering comebacks in Games 4 and 5 to dispatch the San Antonio Spurs four games to one.
It was a series filled with drama. It also seems to have been filled, at least potentially, with bad blood.
In a video that went viral on social media from the Knicks' championship party on Sunday night, Jalen Brunson's toast raised some eyebrows as someone dropped an NSFW line about Spurs star big man Victor Wembanyama.
"F*** Wemby," the person said before it was echoed by someone else in attendance.

Though Brunson was the one giving the toast, he wasn't facing the camera, making it difficult to tell if he was actually the one who said it.
While NBA fans were quick to circulate the video under the impression that it was Brunson who called out Wemby, it seems best to give Brunson the benefit of the doubt until we know for sure it was him.
Beyond the on-court rivalry of two teams competing for a championship, it seems Wembanyama may have rubbed the Knicks the wrong way when he went to the locker room after the series-clinching win rather than shake hands with the champions.
