That's cheaper than I would've thought for him. I would've been happy getting Ward for than much.

Seriously, some of these deals make me say "Was that all it took?".

How is it cheap? You're paying a little over $4 million a year for a guy who had one good season. RB's don't make much in this league. The best in the game make about $6 million per season.

For a one year wonder type player, $4 million is a bit steep.

I thought it was going to be this cheap. We are talking about a 29 year old RB. Its the sign of the times for older running backs and what the NFL thinks of them.

Well, we kept hearing he wanted Michael turner's contract which was 15 mil guaranteed and 34.5 total. I didn't think he would get quite that much, being a couple of years older, but half of that? A good deal for the Bucs, IMO. It'd have been better for us than pointlessly hanging onto Edge.

TB has a underrated committee of RB's now.
Lots of questions everywhere else, but not a bad RB crew.

I understand injuries.... but they just gave a muco extension to Graham.

Williams is probably better than both of em.

Weird.

Coulda had him last year. He was a free agent and didn't get any takers and had to go back to the Giants. I think his salary last year with the G-men was 1.3 million.

I was hoping we'd get him and let Edge go, but now it looks like we'll have to keep Edge until after the Draft. And there doesn't seem to be ANY sure thing RB's in the Draft.
