I think Hoult is a pretty great actor and it looks like they’re making Lex a contemporary of Supes.

Who would you have liked to see in the role?
I like Hoult as an actor. I just don't see him as Lex. I guess I really don't know too much about the Superman Legacy comic. I always think old school Lex.

I guess they liked the jesse eisenberg version of Lex Luthor.

Gene Hackman was better

skinny little young dudes...same same

Hoult is 6’2… Eisnenberg is… 5’7. And they’ve played pretty much completely different roles throughout their careers. There is literally almost nothing the same about the two.

I didn't think height was a defining quality of Lex Luthor. Was it in the comics? Because it definitely hasn't been in any of the other media.
No clue. But the idea that Hoult is a “little dude” is entirely baseless.

Gotcha, I actually didn't take that as a literal "little". But I can see that now.

I took it more as being someone who isn't larger than life like Luthor's personality.

Lol...spoken like a little dude

people’s inability to just say “huh, guess I was wrong.” is so bewildering to me, even over the most mundane details.

I know. Take yourself for example. Obviously confusing "little" for "short"
A writer should know that words matter
