Who? What 1st round QB tanked their stock coming back? That hasnt happened yet in the NIL era.@TotallyRed: Yeah, no. Ask a whole host of QBs that were going to come out last year and decided to stay in school, and see how they like their draft stock now. He can go #2 overall easily. There is nowhere near a guarantee he goes top 10 next season, and could easily fall out of the 1st with a bad year.
Drew Allar (disgustingly bad QB), Nussmeier, Klubnik, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, Sam Howell and Spencer Rattler were never sniffing being drafted before round 3 if they came out earlier. There were some people saying that they had first round potential, but those were the same people who thought Matt Corral was a 1st round pick in 2022 before the combine. It was just bs speculation from know nothing talk show guys meant to fill dead air.
Dante Moore has tools, but he is a bad prospect right now, who desperately needs more reps at the college level. He is not ready to be an NFL QB. I would put Moore at 0% chance of getting a franchise QB 2nd contract if he came out in this draft. He's giving up a 1st round contract for ~ 4-8 million NIL and a much greater chance at getting the generational wealth 2nd contract. If he tears his ACL/Achilles early in the season he loses on this gamble. If he somehow gets worse he loses. Anything else and he wins.
