They actually showed that front 4 yesterday and plan to use it vs san fran.

+1

Yeah, that was exciting to see.

Campbell, and Dockett are quick enough to play the edges, and Williams and the Somoan are just beasts!

Did anyone see Dan Williams take a good angle and make a tackle 15 yards down the field. That big man can move!

I'm looking forward to see the next two games and how DWash helps keep the QB's contained like he did Newton.

After that I'm looking forward to see 58 squared keep TE's from killing us.

I also hope to see Minter get some playing time to keep LOS as fresh as possible.

I like it, lets work on that poster! 58* :)

Don't mind if I do.

But, who cares about who is right/wrong, just enjoy the good play. Those two where really tearing it up.

Moving Dansby to SILB takes his weakness, speed, and makes it a positive, IMO.

Then there is Washington, who is just a freak.

Awesome, so good to see the defense look as strong as it did yesterday.

At one point I turned to my wife and said, "Hmmm... Maybe it wasn't all the defensive coordinator last season ? Maybe the talent is just that good."

We will see.
i think it's about 80% talent (including mental preparation) and 20% coaching.

I don't think any coach could do anything with Jacksonville, say.

You have to have key players and leaders On The Field.

In the words of Brian Billick, Karlos Washington is a player in this league.
:biglaugh: Well played!

I don't think I could have adequately described the joy I felt when we resigned Dansby. He has always been a playmaker. I think that we could easily have him, brinkley and Washington on the field and be even better. I also look forward to seeing Minter starting to get in on the action too.
I have to say I was somewhat stunned when the Cardinals signed Dansby following his hiatus in Miami!

What continues to be interesting to me is the joy Dansby seems to have since rejoining the Cardinals. It seems as though he realizes he should have never left.

it would be a shame to see Dansby walk again.

we just freed up cap space with the Levi Brown trade. I can't think of any of the guys we signed to short term deals that make a bigger impact then Dansby. Dude's still a very good playmaker and a great leader, as he always was.

I am guessing that the Cardinals will make it a priority to re-sign both Karlos Dansby and Matt Shaughnessy before the season is up. Sadly, I am guessing Andre Roberts is gone, but he isn't being used as much as I thought so it might not be a very impactful loss. Mendenhall, Cason and Bell probably won't be re-signed and I would guess Brinkley, Colledge, Palmer, Ryan Williams, and Abraham get cut.

Chopper, you have Palmer on your list for being cut...RW and Abraham seem likely suspects, but if they cut Palmer, what then? I'm having a hard time believing that in a win now league the Cards would rely on a rookie draft pick at QB. Who would mentor him, Stanton??? Another free agent brought in?

If they do indeed cut him what do you think their approach would then be?

I also think you have to look at keeping him as protecting your investment in Washington as well. The two are very similar talent-wise, and Dansby has done it the right way on the field and off. As long as Dansby is here, and can still make plays like he did Sunday, then he is the unquestioned leader of the LBs and the defense.

Hopefully, Dansby is here long enough until DWash grows up.

I see Dansby as somewhat similar to Jamir Mller. A guy who had a bad rep coming out of college, but one hell of a Cards LB. It was a bummer to lose Miller, but at least we have a second go round with Dansby.

(It's really tempting to bump all the Dansby-hating threads, because a lot more need to do what 40 did earlier in this thread.)

I'm not sure Minter was a wasted pick. DWash and especially LOS will need to take a snap off here and there. Plus DWash may get another suspension next year and of course there is always the possibility of injury.

Now I would have rather we selected a TE or LT or OLBer with the 2nd rd pick but that's a "needs" based thought process and usually doesn't pay off in the long term.

not to mention Dansby only has a few years left in him, good to have quality depth at such an important position.

Im hoping that c hanges fast, at least lock him up for one-two more years. If he starts slowing down he can still be a leader and backup.

Dansby and Derrick Johnson have to be the most versatile LBs in the NFL over the last 10 years. No matter where their team asks them to play they do well.

4-3 OLB, 4-3 MLB, 3-4 ILB, 3-4 OLB, Hybrid LB, pass rushing LB, tackling LB, defend the pass, doesn't matter those two just keep putting up the numbers.

Dansby had 8 sacks in one season. Johnson 15 passes defensed. Both have been over 100 tackles in a season.

Post Script: Why you can't rate Arizona players by pro bowls or All-Pro. Johnson has been to two Pro Bowls and was All-Pro in 2011. Yet Dansby has been just as good every season and hasn't sniffed one. Dansby's post season play was phenomenal. This season he has 45 tackles. 12 more than Money Badger who is #2. 2 sacks. 5 passes defensed and an interception. Oh yeah, and he recovered a fumble.

You misinterpreted. Money Badger just happens to be second on the team in tackles to Dansby. That's all I was referring to. That Dansby has 13 more tackles in just 5 games than the team's second leading tackler.

I knew Dansby and D Wash were gonna make a great duo but they may be even better than I thought they would be. It's going to be hard for teams to game plan on stopping both of them since both can rush the passer. I really hope we sign Dansby for another two or three years.
