Win or go home in Fayetteville​

The Washington Huskies have lost ten of their last 12 games heading into their matchup with the Fordham Rams at the Fayetteville Regional on Saturday afternoon, and it's survive and advance time for coach Heather Tarr's team.

Following a 3-1 loss to South Florida on Friday night, the Huskies are going to need to find a way to string together some clutch hitting. The Bulls' defense stifled several UW chances, while pitcher Anne Long mowed down the threatening top of the lineup: Kaycie Burdick, Alexis DeBoer, and Giselle Alvarez, holding the trio to just one hit on the night.

Now, the Huskies will most likely have to contend with Holly Beeman in the circle. She led the Rams with a 2.84 ERA over 14 appearances and 76 innings this year, compiling a 6-4 record and 1.36 WHIP, but she also surrendered a .281 batting average against with just a 37:16 strikeout-to-walk ratio, meaning the Huskies will have a great opportunity to put the ball in play and create havoc on the bases.

At the plate, the Rams don't possess a ton of power, with just 27 home runs on the year as a team, but they can get on base. They're led by outfielder Neleh Nogay, who posted a team-high .383 batting average this year, and infielder Sadria Forcucci, who, in her first year of college softball, put together a .351 average and 1.050 OPS with 9 home runs and 46 runs batted in.

If the Huskies can pull off the victory, they'll spin around to face the loser of Arkansas vs. South Florida.
