The 49th Annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association Boys Basketball Senior All-Star Festival will be held Thursday at The Morgan School in Clinton.

This year's festival will feature a tournament-style format showcasing three teams representing each of the five CIAC tournament divisions and all 11 leagues. The teams scheduled to play are as follows:

Team 1

Jack Gollow, Lakeview; Xavier Goode, Fitch; Alijah Grice, International; Kimar Malone, Aerospace; Brady Marsh, Windham Tech; Sean McMahon, St. Paul; Jordan Sirabionian, West Haven; Lorenzo Stabilini, Fairfield Ludlowe; Julius Washington, Grasso Tech; Elijah Williams, SMSA. Coaches: Jeff Narcisse, Aerospace, and Dan Piccone, Ellis Tech.

Team 2

Jaiden Booth, Hartford Public; Mohammed Camera, Cheney Tech; Chris De La Cruz, Torrington; Aaron Johnson, West Haven; Zasheem McCoy, East Hartford; Kolby Mills, Griswold; John Napiello, Woodland; Jameer Reed, Notre Dame Prep; Colin Tozier, Stafford; Casleem Washington, Crosby. Coaches: David Goldshore, Staples, and Ryan Sullivan, Woodland.

Team 3

Drew Dargati, Northwest Catholic; Jayden Desir, Kolbe Cathedral; Brady Herman, Nonnewaug; James Kersten, Shepaug Valley; Landon Krygier, Notre Dame WH; Chris O'Toole, Watertown; Chris Piercey, North Branford; Jayvon Robinson, New London; Josiah Sims, Newington; Sean Wilson, Trumbull. Coaches: Tim Fitzpatrick, Nonnewaug, and Chris Perras, Old Saybrook.

Frank Rossi, the all-star game chairperson, said the committee had been discussing for several years how to make the games more competitive and entertaining while combining all of the rosters, not classifying by divisions, per se.

"Since it became logistically too difficult to hold team practices, the games have evolved into an offensive showcase, often resulting in non-competitive games," Rossi said. "The format this year was inspired by the NBA All-Star format (used in the game in February for the first time), playing shorter games in a tournament-style structure with a little bit more on the line. We liked the idea of making up teams of players from all 5 divisions, allowing those players to compete against each other."

The following is the festival schedule (times are approximate):

  • 5:45 p.m.: Game 1 - Team 1 vs. Team 2
  • 6:15 p.m.: Game 2 - Team 3 vs. Game 1 Loser
  • 6:45 p.m.: Game 3 - Game 1 Winner vs. Team 3
  • 7:15 p.m.: Game 4 - Championship Game

Tickets will be available through GoFan. $10 for adults, $5 for seniors/students. CHSCA member coaches will be admitted free with their coaches pass.
