Yup - less accessible site, doesn't solve the after work weeknight traffic issues. No transit to it.
Sure. But Tempe residents made it abundantly clear that their community prefers the tranquility and majestic views only a landfill can provide. The occasional fire that can break out only adds to the ambiance.

I can get to Tempe faster than most places in North Scottsdale - sometimes places in Gilbert/Chandler/Mesa about the same amount of time
