They’ve already done it once. In 2015, the Cowboys were highly interested in defensive end Kony Ealy out of Missouri. The 6-foot-5, 260 pounder had nine sacks and six pass deflections as a junior, and was under heavy consideration for Dallas in the second round. They eventually traded up in the round to acquire DeMarcus Lawrence, identifying him as the last of the elite pass rushers available. The thirst for Ealy didn’t go away however and this offseason with Ealy on the free agent market they went out and scooped him up to join the rotation. Could history repeat itself a few months later?
