Today we’re talking about Mizzou Hoops

The 2026-2027 Mizzou Men’s Basketball schedule was released on Monday, and it’s loaded with tough competition — featuring 15 NCAA Tournament teams from last season, and 12 opponents that are among the ESPN Preseason Top 25. That means a whole lot of Quad 1 and 2 opportunities to bolster and NCAA Tournament resume.

SLU, Marquette, Kansas, Nebraska, and Illinois highlight Mizzou’s non-conference neutral site games, plus a true road game at Indiana. Missouri’s lone non-conference home game against a power conference team is Pittsburgh for the SEC/ACC Challenge.

Mizzou’s SEC opener is set for January 2nd at Arkansas, and five of the nine SEC home games for Missouri will be on Saturdays — setting up some good atmospheres at Mizzou Arena.

Exhibition wise — Mizzou is at Kansas State on October 23rd and at UNLV on October 29th.

The SEC released the conference schedule Monday, completing the Tigers’ 31-game regular-season slate as Dennis Gates enters his fifth season as head coach. Mizzou is ranked No. 21 in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 and will once again face one of the nation’s toughest schedules after making back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.

Dennis Gates and the staff have a lot of confidence in this roster with a tough non-conference schedule.

Together, O’Toole and Askren represent two different eras that helped define Tiger Style. Askren laid the foundation for the Tigers’ rise on the national stage, while O’Toole carried that tradition forward by becoming one of the sport’s most consistent champions. As one legend continues a new chapter on Mizzou’s coaching staff and another officially closes an unforgettable competitive career, their combined impact will continue to shape the Tigers’ culture for years to come.

An end of an era for two Mizzou Wrestling legends. We’ll still see O’Toole in black and gold though in his second year as a coach .
