Welcome to the Morning Commute

Today we’re talking about Mizzou Hoops

Another game has been added to the Mizzou Men’s Basketball non-conference schedule. Per Rocco Miller, Mizzou is set to host Evansville this upcoming season. (The Dru Smith bowl, if you will)

Sources: Missouri will host Evansville as part of its 2026-27 non-conference schedule. Third all-time meeting between the Tigers and Purple Aces.#SEC#MVC

The Purple Aces are heading into their fifth year under head coach David Ragland but are coming off a rough 7-25 campaign last season. Still though, scheduling teams from the Missouri Valley Conference is certainly a step up from the past mid-major opponents on the non-conference schedule.

Evansville reportedly joins Cleveland State, SLU, Howard, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Kansas, and Nebraska on the non-con slate. Per the D1Docket, Mizzou will host Cleveland State on November 3rd for the season opener. For more on a much-anticipated non-con, join our conversation over at RockM+.

In other news, Mizzou Women’s Golf Head Coach Caroline Westrup has received a well-deserved contract extension after the best finish in program history.

Only the beginning @CarolineWestrup has signed a contract extension through the 2030-31 season!

Overall, Mizzou will take on 10 teams that made the NCAA Tournament a season ago. Some exciting competition for the team as Dawn Sullivan as she enters her fourth season with the program

Should be a fun slate for the upcoming Mizzou Volleyball season.
