Lee Shappell on KDUS, 10 mns ago, had a different take than Jurecki.

Lee said he thought both Colvin and Stewart are seriously considering the Cards.

Kordell is just not getting a lot of interest and wants more time to fully explore his value. And Kordell will make a decision this week but not til after his Baltimore visit.

Colvin, on the other hand, knows he is the #1 FA left, and is trying to maximize his value. He is a true mercenary.

I listened to a little bit of Shappell's interview, but missed that part.

He also said he agreed with Graves for letting go of Boston, but thought we should have tagged and traded him...

if Kordell wants 25mil why not? Think about it 3mil this year and increase a mil each year then if Mccown pans out we cut him.(stewart i mean) As for Colvin I think you are right he is trying to get as much as possible. And who can blame him as short as these guys careers really are. Having said that I think we should sign Okeafor, Jackson, and Blake(for way less than 25mil)and Darling. Trade up to draft Suggs as he will be as productive as Colvin. If we play him as a pass rush specialist then it wont matter that he is a rookie.jmo.Pick up a couple of mid level guys after June 1st and maybe just maybe a decent reciever will be released.Wow I am rambling my bad!

Give him a break!!

Can you respond without personal attacks? "You must be on drugs" is so uncalled for.

I was simply stating my personal opinion. Take a chill pill.

I have to disagree. I think Mac showed what he could get out of an injury depleted team.. I think Bidwill saw that and said that if Mac can do that with that talent level then I do not have to get any real talent (or keep it) because Mac can get players to go above and beyond.

Thanks for your mature response RedStorm. At least you didn't accuse me of being on drugs!

I think you are right Mac did, indeed, show what he could get out of an injury depleted team...1 win, 9 losses.

Peace!

They did play above their ability. Especially near the end. Would you not agree?

Also...I was taking a jab at Bidwill more than supporting Mac.

I don't know if they played above their ability or not really. They still sucked for the most part.

The man with the bow tie is the problem with this franchise, I agree with that wholeheartedly!

Peace!

To me to pay Kordell 5 mil/yr and not Colvin would be insane.
And neither Graves nor anyone else in the organization has shown to be totally inept yet. Sure some may not agree with what they percieve as happening so far, but time should tell that before too long. And I'm a lot more willing to put my money on the Cards management right now than I am the ones calling them buffoons.
Pointing fingers is easy. Any fule can do it.

Mac has 2 years left on his contract. That's halfway through it. And now people are making that an issue....gimme a feakin' break.
Same ol' same ol'.......no matter what the team does, its too soon, or too late to some kibitizers.

Money still talks and the cards still got the biggest wallet. I don't blame Colvin for taking every opportunity to get every possible offer he can, he knows he's got a nice offer on the table and there just isn't much real competition out there. I'll also bet the Cards know that too.
Sure we all want something to happen as soon as possible. Notice Holliday hasn't signed anywhere yet either. Neither has Okeafor, Neither has Jackson.
Thornton is the only free agent we actaully "lost" so far, and how many of you would really call that a loss, especially at the price the bungles paid?

I will say this. It may appear that some FAs are waiting to see where the chips fall. If we get Colvin then I bet we land Okefer and or Holliday next.

JMO...

If that's true it's real bad news for Coach Mac.

You can't take the job as the head guy and be afraid to let your friends go.

Been there myself, not had to do it, quite, eyt.
