PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Jaquan Johnson scored 21 points and AJ Smith added 20 as Bradley rallied for an 87-77 win over visiting UMass-Lowell on Wednesday.

The braves trailed by five at halftime and by seven points early in the second half. But Bradley (2-3) closed the game on a 22-10 run to break a two-game losing streak.

AT CHICAGO: Alabama knocked off Illinois in a top 15 battle, 90-86, at the United Center. The 11th-ranked Crimson Tide trailed by a point at halftime but scored 49 second-half points to sink eighth-ranked Illinois.

Andrej Stojakovic scored 26 points and Kylan Boswell added 22 for the Illini (4-1), who suffered their first loss of the year. Sophomore Labaron Philon scored 24 points and had five assists in 24 minutes of action for Alabama.

AT BLOOMINGTON: Illinois Wesleyan stayed undefeated with a 72-69 win over Chicago at Shirk Center. Noah Cleveland had 14 points and eight rebounds for his third straight double-double to open the season.

The Titans (3-0) roared out to a 14-point first half lead and shot 56.9 percent for the game but had to hold off a Chicago (2-1) second-half rally.
