During the reveal of their top 20 cornerbacks from last season, Pro Football Focus rated Kansas City Chiefs rookie Nohl Williams amongst the better players in the league.
"The first-year cornerback saw limited run through much of the year, until Trent McDuffie's injury thrust him into a prominent role," wrote Mason Cameron, "While Williams struggled at times, he showed flashes of what made him a strong pick out of Cal. He finished the year with a top-15 PFF coverage grade (75.6) among qualifying cornerbacks while also ranking in the 93rd percentile in single coverage (71.1)."
The Chiefs had an encouraging season from Williams, who emerged as a reliable cornerback during Trent McDuffie's injury absence. The rookie from California showed flashes of starter capability in the team's system, especially with the many changes this offseason.
"Two things, I think he (Nohl Williams) tackles real well – I think he's a physical corner, and we like physical corners, and he's got really good ball skills," said defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo during his press conference before the Chiefs' 2025 regular season finale.
Williams finished the 2025 season with 48 total tackles and seven pass deflections in 17 games played.
