Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn’t going anywhere. And he’s just fine.

The fallout from Burrow’s very open talk with the media during the regular season that spawned endless speculation about his playing future continues to be a topic of discussion around the Super Bowl this year.

Bengals receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins took another moment recently to talk about the situation.

“If you’re a competitor, fun is in the winning,” Higgins told Yahoo Sports’ Jason Fitz. "Nobody is having fun losing. I feel like that’s what he meant…I feel like that was the main thing. People just took it out of proportion and blew it up and made it something it wasn’t.”

Chase added that three years of losing in the NFL is simply different from what Burrow was accustomed to at all other levels of the sport. He added, “I understand how he feels. Losing is not in his blood.”

Burrow also recently commented on this while out and about, echoing similar things.

So, for Bengals fans, much of this is what they already knew. Like we wrote at the time, Burrow’s comments had come just after he completed an extremely rare injury comeback while the season fizzled, anyway.

Now, things move forward, with eyes toward the Bengals properly rebuilding around the big three and getting back to the playoffs.
