I'm looking for some downloadable CD Duplicating software that will allow me to get an exact duplicate of a CD. I've had some in the past, but I've reimaged my machine since then and I'm having the worst time trying to relocating them.

Thanks,
Shawn

It's chess software - it gets right towards the end of the duplicating process and then freezes up. It = Roxio EZ CD Creator.

Try CloneCD. It works the best for just making a "carbon" copy of a CD.

http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/

You get a 21-day free trail with the download. After that, you will need to pay to use it.

That's the one I've used in the past. Thanks, I appreciate it - regardless of how Mike feels about it. :)

Ahh... so is this why when I try to burn Madden 2003, it messes up halfway through?

Will using this software alow me to burn any games?

I don't think any will...the CD's are programmed to have a bad sector on them so that no burner will complete the copy process.

I'm sure there are some hacker versions or ways of doing it, but I don't know them.

It messes up due to the copyright protection. EA games have some of the toughest copyrights to crack. But it is possible.

So as to not anger the moderators, whom I am sure do not want posts detailing how one can brake the law, I will not tell you have to crack it.

Yeah - mine keeps hitting Bad Sectors at the end of the process. Even using this CloneCD it's running into the same thing.

You can use private messages if you want...

Doesn't bother me a bit either way.

I own Madden 2k3 for PC.

I have made backup copies using clone CD.

make sure to enable subchannel data and turn off error reporting.

It will work fine.

Clone CD also has the virtural cd program. I put an image on my laptop and it can be mounted and run from the hard drive. I can leave the original disk safely at home.
