Good News. The Cardinals officially cut CB Robert Alford.

Alford being released will save the Cardinals $7.5 million of cap space. They will also have one less cornerback option.

It seems the difference is between top 51 and all.

Spotrac: $18.5m

the problem isnt paying him $13

its paying him $13 and having all $13 hit this year's salary cap

with the cap gymnastics the league is doing, $13mm in cap space this year probably gets you three good players

I’d rather give Markus Golden, who’s had multiple double-digit sack seasons and is only 27-years-old, around $3.5 million and have money left over to fill holes at DB, WR2, and the offensive line.

Which for us this year is about $5m.
