I totally read this as Darnell Dockett, Steve Breaston, Leinart, etc would be serving me my Budweiser. ;)

But yay for cheaper things!

Lott is currently working with the concessions staff to increase their halftime stamina.

they pledged "faster" service --- yeah!

it was my pet peeve, and one I have bitched about for years.

Not for profit volunteers manning the concession stands.

God bless them for raising money for their charity, but I paid good money for my football tickets, and I don't feel like missing a chunk of game time because the volunteer is still getting the "counting out change" thing down, or can't quite remember where the nachos are.

Seriously, hey Cardinals, just donate the money to them, and get some real concessioners.

"Fans can purchase 32-ounce souvenir cups and 128-ounce popcorn buckets with team images for $6.75 each with unlimited refills for $1 during the game."

Somewhere, BIM is smiling.

Since I sit in the club section, I wonder how things will be affected up there. I've had difficult service before, but I imagine it's nothing like what has to be put up with in the larger sections.

What's interesting though is that the club section has a lot of specialized food that I presume isn't in the other sections in the stadium. There's a lot of variety, like orange chicken, slider burgers, and even this separate stand that does cuts of meat. In the four years in the stadium, I've probably eaten there three times, so I don't really care what changes happen to the menu. Cheaper beer sounds great to me though.

Cheaper prices and faster service rocks.

The $1 refills is a great thing!!!

Hopefully, all this will work out as planned.

Great, now the Raiders fans can drink more with their welfare checks. I predict an ugly day in the stadium for that one.

This is great along with the cheaper beers

My younger brother is 20 and drinks Dr. Pepper like it's going out of style.

That's if you buy the $85-$100 purchase card

• Season-ticket holders at any level can purchase cards with $100 value for $85. They can be used, like debit cards, at any stadium food stand.
•Fans can purchase 32-ounce souvenir cups and 128-ounce popcorn buckets with team images for $6.75 each with unlimited refills for $1 during the game.

Thats quite an assumption, it says season ticket holders can buy the discounted cards and fans can buy the pop and popcorn with unlimited refills. It dosnt say fans who are season ticket holders that have purchased the discounted card can get the refills.

Awesome. Now maybe we'll have Cardinal Kool Aid at the frat house? 4th from the left for the uninitiated.

Hopefully they cut back some of the premium brew prices. $11 per bomber is just brutal. $9.75 for a hefe, stella or bass draft isn't much better. Somehow I doubt it happens though. Probably only cutting back on Bud/Miller/Coors...

As far as food goes I can't recall even one time buying something to eat since the new stadium opened. I always get full from tailgating. I shake my head when I see someone paying $7-8 for some chicken strips that look like they taste like cardboard!

Need better quality food and selection, period. PNC park in Pittsburgh should be the model everyone follows. They have everything, local eateries like Primanti Brothers and Quaker Steak wings, and a great beer selection.

And yeah, those chicken strips are terrible. Only thing I really ever eat at the stadium is the pizza. And the beer.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this report:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=100725/stadiumconcessions

28% of UoP vendors were found to be in violation.

Chicago: Three of the four stadiums show no violations, but inspectors showed up when the stadiums were not hosting games, with no food being served or prepared, and no workers present.

Purely coincidence, I am sure.
