Since the whole place is WiFi equipped, I would guess they are an acceptable item. Additionally they are not listed in the prohibited items. I wouldn't try to haul in your desktop version however...

Here is an interesting prohibited item:
Video Cameras and video capable cellular phones.

That probably encompasses over 50% of all phones on the market today.

How are they going to enforce that one??? No way!!! Although if they happen to realize that you are doing a video capture with you phone, at that juncture they would probably intervene...

Cameras
· Fans may bring personal still-photo cameras to capture the special moments from their visit to Cardinals Stadium. Feel free to ask any Cardinals Stadium staff member to snap a picture of your group. Video cameras, professional cameras (with detachable lenses,) and mono/tripods are not permitted except for credentialed members of the media.

I hate this policy. First, it's vague. What exactly is a "professional camera"? Do they really mean all cameras with detachable lenses, meaning absolutely no SLRs? If they enforce it like America West used to, any lens they consider "large" will not be allowed, even if it is far from professional quality (I once had to walk all the way back to my car because I had a $180 75-300mm lens that any serious photographer would laugh at).

Second, there's no real purpose for it. The sideline photographers will always get better photos because they have a better vantage point. Those in the stands, no matter how big their lens are, will not get photos as nice.

Third, I understand the tripod ban merely because they take up so much room. But a monopod takes no more room than the person using it. What's the purpose in banning it.

Do monopods get to sit in the disabled sections?

Mono/tripods are prohibited

The Above.... Are explained by the below...... ;)

Displays of affection or other behavior not appropriate in a public setting will not be tolerated.

Guys..... it all makes sense when you put them together.

Two I can think of.

  1. Reduces th quality of any zoom photos you do take
  2. Would make a great quarterstaff if a Raiders/Cowboys fan gets annoying

I hate you.

Edit added on 9/10: This post came up due to the added data below, but for the life of me, even realizing that I was almost certainly joking with my comment above, I have no idea what was in my head that day.

I remember the good ol' days at SDS :sarcasm: where you could bring food into the stadium. Guess we can't bring our Subway sandwiches inside. Can we at least bring peanuts???

I don't really like how they usher you into one specific spot. I like to park so it's easy to exit, not in the next available spot.
