Clyde 'The Slide' Duncan and Randal 'Thrill' Hill, two huge busts at WR that cost us 1st round picks one way or the other. We traded our first round pick to the Dolphins for Hill and the Dolphins used that pick for Troy Vincent.

I wonder how many times Randal Hill was even targeted. So many FB runs up the middle for no real reason in those days. (I remember screaming for them to throw it to him as a young Mulli).

Per PFR, Hill was targeted 117 times in 1992 (but with only 58 catches for 861 yards) and 269-131-1924-7 from 1992-1994, an average of 5.8 targets per game. (They don't have target data for 1991 but his stat line was 43-495-1 in his rookie season.)

I remember the 64 season well. That tie in the mud cost the Cardinals the division title and a legit shot at a championship. We finished 9-3-2, and a half game behind Cleveland. Had we won that game, we owned the tie breaker against Cleveland because we were 1-0-1 against them head to head. That was also the season when the football Cardinals had a scheduling conflict with the baseball Cardinals participation in the 64 World Series which forced us to move a home vs Baltimore to a road game instead. And we lost that game to Baltimore. Cardinals finished that season 5-0-1, and were clearly the best team in the league had we qualified.
