Last week, I threw out a FEED post inquiring on how you all became fans of the Denver Broncos. The response was fantastic and I tried to make sure to share everyone’s origin story below.

For my origin story, I was born to two San Diego Charger fans and was well on my way to a life of misery and disappointment as a football fan. However, we moved to Pagosa Springs in 1985 and by 1986 I was a casual John Elway fan as a kindergartener. The Broncomania took hold on January 11, 1987.

As young kids do, I took note of the large gathering of adults at the house. But I was all about that outside world and was doing my own thing. Then the adults started acting all weird. They were all standing and hushed staring at the television, so I stopped my run through of the house and tuned in. Naturally, the moment at hand was ‘The Drive’ and by the end of it, fueled by the adults going crazy, I became a true Broncomaniac.

That was a long, long time ago. I remember all of these details clearly and that I am here today still talking about this team is proof that whatever virus I caught that day has no cure!

If you missed out on the FEED posts from this, feel free to jump into the comments section and share your origin story.
