Alabama baseball is heading to the College World Series.
With two wins against St. John's in the NCAA Super Regional, the Crimson Tide secured its first trip to Omaha, Nebraska, since 1999.
"You pour yourself into this thing, and you have this vision of what it's going to be and how it's going to feel like," Alabama coach Rob Vaughn said. "Nothing prepares you for it. It's one of those things where it's so much hard work from these guys. It's so much consistency and dedication from these guys that get you to these moments."
In Omaha, Alabama faces a string of familiar faces, including SEC foes Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas and Georgia, who the Crimson Tide has not seen; along with fellow in-state school Troy.

All that is secured in Alabama's College World Series run is who the Crimson Tide plays first.
Alabama is set to face Oklahoma to open its time in Omaha, a team the Crimson Tide beat twice in three tries on the road April 2-4 in Norman.
The Sooners are not the only team in the College World Series field Alabama has seen. The Crimson Tide lost two-of-three to Texas on April 17-19. Alabama won two-of-three at home against Ole Miss on May 14-16. And Alabama split its two meetings with Troy.
Historically, Alabama wins its first-round games at the College World Series. Each of Alabama's previous five trips have had first-round wins, and Tyler Fay, Alabama's ace pitcher, gives the Crimson Tide as good of a chance at that continuing.
Star power of players like Justin Lebron and Bryce Fowler gives Alabama an advantage too. But with new-look Alabama entering a field of familiar faces, expectations should be tempered for a deep run.
