The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the opening round of the College World Series on Saturday.

Alabama will need to be at their best throughout the remainder of the postseason. The Tide will face one of the hottest teams in college baseball to begin the tournament, as the Sooners have been playing at an elite level throughout the month of June.

Here are three bold predictions for Alabama baseball’s College World Series matchup against Oklahoma.

Fay was excellent during his final home start at Sewell-Thomas Stadium last weekend. The talented flamethrower surrendered two hits over 7.1 innings on Saturday, and Fay will once again look to shine against a star-studded Oklahoma lineup.

The star pitcher could quickly pick up right where he left off throughout Alabama’s time in Omaha, as Fay continues to dominate throughout the postseason.

Justin Lebron stays red hot, records 3+ hits

Lebron was one of the Tide’s hottest hitters throughout last weekend’s sweep in the Tuscaloosa Super Regional vs. St. John’s. The star shortstop went 3-for-4 at the plate on Saturday, and Lebron will once again play a critical role in Alabama’s lineup against Oklahoma.

Lebron has been extremely reliable at the plate throughout the majority of the postseason, and the shortstop will look to keep things rolling against the Sooners this weekend.

Jason Torres stays red hot, records 2+ home runs

Torres was able to cement himself in Crimson Tide history during Sunday’s Super Regional contest against St. John’s. The talented third baseman hit a massive grand slam in the seventh inning, ultimately giving the Tide a 7-2 lead and solidifying the series-clinching victory.

Torres will look to stay red hot in Omaha this weekend, and the third baseman could quickly find himself going deep against Oklahoma on Saturday.

Alabama will face the Sooners in the opening round of the College World Series at 2 p.m CT tomorrow, as the Tide will look to secure their first National Championship in program history.
