The Alabama baseball team has reached the College World Series for the first time since 1999, after eliminating St. Johns in NCAA Super Regional play over the weekend. The Crimson Tide will face a familiar SEC foe, Oklahoma, in its opening game at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
Fans traveling to see Alabama can purchase tickets at the link below. The Crimson Tide's second CWS game will be played Monday against one of two more SEC schools: Texas or Georgia. The other four schools to reach the CWS are Troy, West Virginia, Ole Miss and North Carolina.
The Crimson Tide (42-19) has not lost since dropping its first SEC Tournament game against Florida, 13-3, on May 21.
UNFORGETTABLE: Weather delay won't take magic from Jason Torres Alabama baseball grand slam
FAMILY AFFAIR: Alabama's John Lemm gets family support all the way from Australia as Tide reaches CWS
Tickets for the Crimson Tide's first CWS game since 1999, against Oklahoma, aren't overly pricy; for two seats together, offerings at Stubhub.com are as low as $76 each. That, however, will only put you in the outfield seats at Charles Schwab Field. You'll pay three times that or more for something behind or nearly behind home plate. Prices for all-session passes, good for every CWS game, range widely and not less than $1,000.
Alabama-Oklahoma tickets are selling fairly quickly, so the prices won't be going down as the game approaches.
