This defense can be built through the draft. You have the best pass rusher in the league, a pro bowler in Budda, a promising young corner in Byron Murphy and a few respectable players peppered in. The key is locking in the offense. Tag DJ Humphries, pay Kenyon Drake and pick up a free agent receiver. If they can get rid of David Johnson in a dump trade, that would free up money to make an additional move or two. Question, is Robert Alford going to be in Arizona next year?

Would depend on cap hit to move on from Alford.

The defense as a whole has been better with players being put in the right spots. Murphy seemed much more solid in the slot, PP looks like his old self when asked to lock down 1 guy and BB looks better playing more of a SS role.

On top of that we removed a guy in Suggs that just wasn't bringing anything positive to the field. This has essentially been a whole new defense the last 2 games.

If having just a bunch of tackles in the second level having very little impact on the game is your idea of multiple games then more power to you… He misses to many tackles too. He regularly gets burned n almost never makes game changing plays. He was called out in here over a long stretch by many posters and for good reason.

He isn’t any kind of game changer. Anyone judging his PB as a reason to love the guy needs to look at how watered down that has become. He doesn’t do any one thing Great.

When it comes to Buddha we are just gonna have to agree to disagree.

Same pattern each game:

Defense comes out confused and ripe for a blow out.

Adjustments are then made after the first couple of series.

And then we tighten things up.

I also wouldn't mind seeing us open with a defensive scheme and then go to a different scheme after the first sets of downs had been completed.

Baker has more tackles for a loss over the last two seasons than any other DB in the league. He was voted to the Pro Bowl by his peers for a reason.

He hit like a bullet, short but well built, probably the stronger man on the team

Weird considering he is 5th or worse in the league this year so far:

He was 4th last year:

And 6th or worse in 2017:

Not sure how he’s “lead” but either way. Anyone who watches and thinks he’s great at any one thing needs their eyes checked. An occasional hard hit doesn’t make you great. He gets burned regularly whenever he has to cover someone. He goes for the hard hot too often and doesn’t wrap up. Can you seriously name a game changing or altering play in 3 seasons? I sure can’t. He’s got a cool name though!

Sometimes the confidence of getting chosen to the Pro Bowl builds the confidence that’s causes a player to improve his performance. Earlier this year he tackled poorly but he’s improved dramatically recently. He still can’t cover.

You don't call the two hits that ended the season for the two Seahawks players game changing?

Ask them or Pete Carroll if it doesn't change their game next week.
