The Denver Broncos will have two sets of players share jersey numbers this season.

The NFL allows players on opposite sides of the ball to share jersey numbers during the offseason if the team starts running out of number options. This summer, Broncos running back Cody Schrader (offense) is set to share jersey No. 25 with rookie cornerback Brent Austin (defense). Additionally, rookie wide receiver Dane Key (offense) will share jersey No. 32 with rookie cornerback Ahmari Harvey (defense).

The Broncos have three officially retired numbers (7, 18 and 44), plus three unofficially retired numbers that they rarely give to new players (24, 58 and 88). The team's currently unassigned numbers are 53, 61, 64, 65, 70.

  • No. 25: CB Brent Austin and RB Cody Schrader
  • No. 32: CB Ahmari Harvey and WR Dane Key

Denver's 91-man offseason roster is currently full. The club has until Aug. 30 to finalize a 53-man roster. If a pair of players sharing a number both make the team, one of them will have to change his number before the regular season. There will be more numbers to choose from following roster cuts later this summer.
