The Denver Broncos signed a pair of players from the United Football League on Tuesday, and those new arrivals were assigned jersey numbers ahead of practice.
Denver signed wide receiver Hakeem Butler and cornerback/returner Sean Fresch, both from the St. Louis Battlehawks, following the conclusion of the 2026 UFL spring season. Butler picked jersey No. 30 and Fresch picked No. 37.
The Broncos have three officially retired numbers (7, 18 and 44), plus three unofficially retired numbers that they rarely give to new players (24, 58 and 88). The team's currently unassigned numbers are 53, 61, 64, 65, 70.
