Broncos 'biggest need' revolves around Alex Singleton, Dre Greenlaw uncertainty originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Denver Broncos have some issues to address this offseason, with the focus being on the offensive side of the ball.
A new running back with J.K. Dobbins hitting free agency, a top-tier WR, and a better tight end than Evan Engram have often been linked to the Broncos. But their biggest need is on the defensive side of the ball.
As ESPN's Jeff Legwold writes, the Broncos' biggest need is on defense, and specifically, the linebacker position, with some uncertainty about Alex Singleton and Dre Greenlaw.
Broncos' biggest need is LB according to ESPN
"Biggest need: Inside linebacker," Legwold writes. "Though much of the team's fans want playmakers on offense, the need is at inside linebacker."
Singleton and Justin Strnad are free agents, and with Greenlaw only playing in eight games last season for the Broncos, making a big linebacker addition is a must this offseason.
Fortunately for the Broncos, there has not been a better time to need a linebacker. They could target a free agent, with Devin Lloyd and Devin Bush being appealing targets.

But, if they want a younger player in the 2026 NFL Draft, they could land CJ Allen or Jacob Rodriguez in the first round at 30th overall.
George Paton and Sean Payton have their options. Regardless of how the Broncos address this need, they need to add at least one starting linebacker to the roster this offseason.
Linebacker is their biggest hole this offseason, and while there's been more attention on the running back and tight end rooms, off-ball linebacker is a bigger need for Denver this offseason.
