Brentford are in talks with West Ham United striker Callum Wilson about potentially joining as a free agent, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein. The West Ham star is set to become a free agent at the end of today when his contract ends and is expected to leave the London Stadium club. Wilson was expected to be part of those confirmed as released by the Hammers, but his name was absent from the list made by the club a couple of weeks ago.
It has been reported that he could sign another deal to remain with the club, but it appears that is no longer the case. Wilson wants to remain in the Premier League as he eyes a century of Premier League goals. The 34-year-old has 95 goals and 26 assists in 271 league appearances and could now continue his top-flight career with the Bees.
The West Ham forward has also been linked with newly-promoted Coventry City and Hull City, but a move to a more established club could be more appealing.
