West Ham United are monitoring FC Midtjylland forward Franculino Dju as they look to strengthen their attack this summer, according to ExWHUEmployee. West Ham manager Nuno Espirito wants attackers capable of helping the London Stadium club secure an immediate return to the Premier League. Dju is a long term target of the Hammers, but signing him could prove tricky as he has plenty of interest across Europe. Everton and Fulham both want to bring the 22-year-old Guinea-Bissau international to the Premier League.
Dju bagged 22 goals last term in 34 games across all competitions. The West Ham target impressed in the league phase of the Europa League, bagging three goals in five appearances. Dju has been consistent in the Danish Superliga across the last three seasons, with 55 goals and 13 assists in 107 games, winning one league title and the Danish Cup last term. He was included in the Danish Superliga Team of the Year and a move to England could be on the cards.
While Dju is primarily a striker, he can also feature on the right wing. West Ham could do with such a brilliant finisher as he has what it takes to hit the ground running in the Championship. However, the Benfica academy graduate could prefer a move to the Premier League, and he is not short of suitors across top-flight leagues in Europe.
