How long can this go on (without becoming a distraction)?
Similar to AQ Shipley situation (but the opposite)...this move speaks more directly to the organization (from a players perspective). I am not sure how they perceive this move.
I guess it depends on how Rosen does today but Sam is probably not going to be on the team for much longer.
Edit - also not a surprise. If you listened to Coach Wilks in post game and Monday pressers...this was obviously the decision that was going to happen.

My biggest concern playing Rosen is that he’ll get injured behind our crap OL. Not that Bradford makes a difference, but if Rosen gets hurt, it guarantees we go 0-16. I’m ok with that. Occasionally, it’s fun to have the Draft be your Super Bowl.

This is such a clown move by the organization. This is the guy who was going to make us competitive. This is the guy who was going to mentor our QB of the future. Now, we are going to make him inactive, cost him 4 mil, and expect him to advocate for the organization to our young QB. If your employer took away 20% of your wages, would you be a positive mentor for your successor in the organization?

I think we all need to prepare ourselves for an offense led by Mike Glennon. And that, my friends, will be worse than the Bradford offense.
Considering the wages you're referring to are bonuses, then no I don't see that as something that'll deter Sam from mentoring Rosen, as he's done for the past several months. These events are mutually exclusive and are insignificant in the long run.
Right now, I trust Glennon more than I do Bradford.

this oline is better than what we have fielded in the past... smith is the only glaring weakness... Cole is an upgrade over shipley even now...by the end of the season and beyone it will show even more... AQ aint getting that starting job back

Things have changed.
If you think about it, Bradford was the answer at QB the Cardinals were going with this year. Glennon was the back-up. I don't think anyone expected one of the top 4 QB's to drop to us.
That being said, how bad does our organizational decision making look right now with Bradford, Glennon, and McCoy? Some would add Wilks to that group as well but too early for me at this point.

Sam Bradford has essentially been paid 1.4M PER GAME PLAYED over the course of his career. If 15M isnt enough to continue being a professional vs a potential 20m, then that speaks more to him as a person, not the organization as a highly functioning entity.
That being said, I dont believe our organization is a highly functioning entity, but this decision has very little to do with that belief.

Bradford knew before summer started this was Rosens team... he basically said as much in interviews.
It is not out of the realm of possibility that they have discussed this and Bradford is on board.... back in June he was talking about getting Josh prepared...
Hell, maybe they plan to dump mccoy in january, promote Leftwich, and make bradford the qb coach, lol.
point being...I dont believe they are just screwing him out of hand...Mike B hasnt shown that in his character to this point
McCoy is destroying this team from the inside out.

You are lying to yourself on this one. No one accepts a 20% pay decrease happily. Bonus or not, the active condition is one that vet players like Fitzpatrick, BRadford, and McCown expect to hit.

Does it matter? Arians was the last coach hired. Everyone else had their coach. The better question is was it a good process or just a lucky hire?

No one accepts Bradfords level of play in the 1st 3 games. I was mistaken though, they actually paid him almost $16 million for 3 games. If he had played well or at least kept the games competitive then he'd still be starting & EARNING those bonuses.

As far as i can tell Arians was hired a week after Keim was promoted to GM. That looks to me like two Bidwill moves in tandem. Could be wrong, that's why i asked.
Look, i couldn't stand Arians' mouth but he was obviously a quality HC and a good hire(Bidwill?).
Wilks was quite obviously a Keim hire. My point is what has Keim done here to hang his hat on in the last 5 years? In terms of personnel decisions, drafting and hiring...not much.
IMO the problem lies squarely with Keim.
