Watching Eric Winston holding down the RT slot for the Bengals against the Colts and SMH.

Massie was over matched yesterday. But the coaching staff did not help him with any chip blocks.

Have to hope he gets stronger and learns in the offseason. We need him to hold down the RT spot. We realistically have holes at both guards we need to fill if Cooper doesn't come around.

On at least one of the sacks it looked like Massie was not expecting Lindley to take as deep of a drop and he thought that he had ridden Charles Johnson(?) out of the play but instead he rode Johnson right into Lindley.

The amount of swearing I directed towards our OTs dropped dramatically this season, Massie is fine. Charles Johnson is a beast, not an easy matchup for a young OT not getting any help.

Massie got help yesterday.

When they had a back in the back field he looked blitz then helped Massie. Third play of the game, Hughes chipped then released as a safety value for a modest gain. When Fanaika gave up that sack, the back was over helping Massie.

The Cardinals also utilized the "we can't trust Massie protection scheme" when they tried to throw out of their end zone. That's where they have Massie block down and double team the end rusher with a pulling guard and running back.

The coaches are scheming to help him because they know he is a huge liability.

It's not all on him, but Massie has played two seasons and it has taken four quarterbacks to get through those seasons. I really don't want to go for the trifecta.

I stick with my assertion over the last two years that Massie is garbage... he may be less smelly garbage this year, but he still garbage.

He had a bad game but not a bad year. Although I was all for bringing Winston back this year.

Totally agree. Massie showed he can do a solid job at RT. He only costs $770k against the salary cap. I don't see him going anywhere. I would like the Cardinals to maybe draft another OT to push Massie but wouldn't use a high pick on one.

I'd give him an assist on one of those sacks the other day. Led the defender right to Lindley and got out of his way in the process. Ugh.

Maybe he just wanted to see what Logan Thomas could do at QB?

Massie is fine. The cards went like 6 games without giving up a sack. It's also no coincidence that the sacks went up as we went to the backup qbs. People understimate how many sacks Palmer avoided. I pray he is healthy next year.

This. Massie looked pretty bad on meaningless back-to-back sacks to end the game, but he's been more than solid pretty much the entire year.

Should continue to improve. Cards set at OT but doesn't hurt to add depth in case of injury.

Solidifying the guards is way more an important issue.

Fixed that for you.

Agreed. Our big problem is middle pressure and the lack of a between the tackles run game. The interior of our line is awful and I think it's time to replace Lyle. Like the guy, has played with us for a long time and was consistently average but it's time to go.

Let's hope Cooper comes around.
