Prior to the release of ADPs four months ago, I discussed the Texans’ biggest fantasy bargain, bust, and wild card. Where do things stand as we approach the first preseason games?

As a 2025 rookie, Woody Marks did quite well considering he was stuck behind Nick Chubb to start the season. Marks finished as the RB36 in points per game, despite only modest usage through the air (24 catches). This is a guy who caught 261 balls in college. He hasn’t come close to hitting his fantasy ceiling. Managers should lean into his generous RB45 ADP.

David Montgomery, on the other hand, is a sharp fade at his stubbornly consistent RB20 ADP. Widely expected to serve as Houston’s bell cow, Montgomery crashed in his final season in Detroit. Some of the most visible stats suggest otherwise (4.5 yards per carry and eight rushing scores. But the warning signs are clear, including only three broken tackles on 182 touches.

There aren’t many bigger wild cards than Tank Dell (WR75 ADP). Injuries have put him on the brink of being undraftable despite highly impressive numbers when starting. At his best, the 2023 third-round pick could push Jayden Higgins for the #2 WR job, putting him on a path for top-40 production. But due to durability concerns, he has one of the lowest floors among top-100 wideouts.
