Gabbert won't be Jamarcus Russel part deaux simply because he doesn't have a chronic cold with a bad cough and isn't lazy.

He won't be Ryan Leaf because he has a maturity about him.

Maybe Heath Shuler or Tim Couch would be better flop examples.



I take Gabbet in a nano second and don't look back. I'm not going to throw anything at my TV if Peterson is the choice but it won't be a family friendly environment if they do so and pass on Gabbert to do so.

If the board falls like that Gabbert will be a Redbird IMO. I'm still not sure of the kid as a NFL QB but it gives Wiz a QB of the future without giving up future picks or even or 2nd rounder this year. Cross your fingers he's not a 1 year wonder & he can throw downfield because many of the knocks I've heard about him is completing passes beyound 15 yards. Many of Mizzou's passes were slip screens right off the LOS & 1 read throws.
