Texas A&M claimed its fourth consecutive SEC series win with a 7-2 outing against the LSU Tigers on Saturday evening at Alex Box Stadium.
Every Aggie in the lineup reached base again in Game 2, as Texas A&M secured seven runs on nine hits, including two home runs. Infielder Gavin Grahovac and catcher Bear Harrison notched the massive hits for the Maroon and White against the Tigers, while Aiden Sims had one of the most impressive outings of the season for Texas A&M on the mound.
Through 7.0 innings pitched, Sims recorded six strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs. Clayton Freshcorn closed things out by striking out two hitters and allowing just two hits to help the Aggies claim another integral conference win.
Next up, Texas A&M will look for the sweep of LSU on Sunday afternoon. First pitch at Alex Box Stadium against the Tigers is slated for 1 p.m. CT and will be nationally broadcast on ESPN.

Solid outing from the Aggies in Game 2
Comprehensive outing from the Aggies.
They get a fantastic start from Aiden Sims, strike early offensively, and play stellar defense from start to finish to capture the series in Baton Rouge.

Terrific performance from the Aggies in Game 2
A&M continues its hot play with a 7-2 win over LSU to take the series. @AggieBaseball’s Aiden Sims was terrific on the bump yet again. Things are looking extremely iffy for LSU right now. https://t.co/lzmMiz6PKI
