Had a great time at the grand opening of the Slice House in Gilbert, a restaurant concept by chef Tony Gemignani. He was there and signed our copy of his book for us. Spent a few minutes just hanging out with some of the customers. Great guy and a huge force in the pizza world. His North Shore restaurant Tony's Pizza Napoletana, in San Francisco's North Shore area, was named "The Best Pizzeria in America" by Forbes magazine.

We got a 20" Combo Americano, 3 meatballs, and two mango lemonades.

Found out later we were in the video they took of the grand opening line. Our friends reached out to us because they know the husband and wife who own and operate this franchise in Gilbert. We're definitely going back.

if you live near a barros

next time you're at your grocery (we do fry's) get some fresh garlic bread from the bakery - should cost like 3 or 4 bucks

then in the next couple few days - when the mood strikes order a side of meatballs from barros - comes with 3 meatballs covered in marinara - cost 4 bucks but be sure to add some melted mozzarella - order extra mozzarella - omg

barros pizza is mid - barros meatballs and marinara are really good but barros garlic bread is garbage

if you time this right their's no dishes - it's excellent and feeds 2 people for 10 bucks - pairs really well with a good red wine
