The New England Patriots dominated on both sides of the ball in Sunday's 42-10 victory over the New York Jets. Drake Maye and his virtuoso offensive performance have been the talk of the town, but make no mistake, the defensive unit handled their business against the struggling Jets team.

Most of the Jets' yards came in garbage time, when the Patriots called off the hounds and played the backup defenders. Their lone touchdown was a 59-yard run by Breece Hall on Patriots special teams star Brenden Schooler, who took a horrible tackle angle while playing safety.

Outside of that play, the Jets looked like an offense stuck in quicksand. They couldn't get anything going against a Patriots defense missing multiple starters. It was an impressive performance from a unit that didn't play down to the level of the competition.

They showed up and put their best foot forward on the road against a three-win Jets team. That's a mark of solid coaching.

Here are the best and worst graded defensive players for the Patriots in Week 17, according to Pro Football Focus.
