The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks mix it up for a third time this season, with the final installment of this NFC West trilogy coming in the NFL Divisional Round.
Saturday’s “Battle in Seattle” is for a spot to the NFC Championship and I’ve got a same-game parlay that not only punches that ticket for one team but also sides with their superstars.
Here are my best NFL picks and 49ers vs. Seahawks predictions for January 17.
The Seattle Seahawks not only beat the San Francisco 49ers just two weeks ago to nail down home field in this game but the Niners are dinged-up and traveling for the second straight week with a short turnaround to get healthy.
The Niners did a much better job against the Eagles run game in the second half of last week’s Wild Card win and can’t let the Seahawks run all over them again. San Francisco sells out to stuff the run and forces Darnold to beat them through the air.
Big players step up in big games and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is that guy for Seattle. With Sam Darnold throwing more, his first and second option is JSN. He’s snatched seven or more receptions in 12 of his 17 games this season.
