If the Cincinnati Bengals still make a move in free agency over the summer, it figures to happen at the linebacker spot with well-known names.

That, or moves in response to training camp injuries before Week 1, though the waiver wire might be even more realistic.

As a blatantly all-in contender, though, the Bengals won’t stop getting suggested as fits with big names. That’s even the case at running back, with Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton suggesting that Najee Harris is a bargain-bin option who might fit the Bengals.

“On the back end of his prime years, Harris can still be an early-down contributor in a running back duo or platoon," Moton wrote. "He's not an explosive rusher, but his 6'1", 242-pound frame can be featured in short-yardage and goal-line situations.”

Harris is now 28 years old and was an ironman in Pittsburgh before suffering multiple issues last year with the Los Angeles Chargers, including a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 3.

Written another way, the Bengals probably wouldn't be interested in the risk there. More importantly, they view Chase Brown as an every-down back now and veteran Samaje Perine is the pass-blocker and receiver they like. They have a draft investment in Tahj Brooks, too, plus some interesting back-of-depth-chart guys like Kendall Milton.

That’s not to say the Bengals would totally rule out Harris or another veteran. But the depth chart there is pretty carefully constructed and it would take an injury or other factors to get them looking at free agents at all.
