Google translate. Maybe the words for ankle and wrist are similar.

Dragan Bender because of wrist injury and surgery that requires recovery from 3-4 months completed his first NBA season

Sit Bender out and force feed him cheeseburgers.

I'm not sure the nature of Bender's ankle surgery but I'm inclined to sit him out the rest of the season.

However, if his ankle is only being scoped to clean out loose debris, I can see where he could return at least to practice.

Doug Haller at azcentral writes more about Dragan Bender's injury but not much new information.

MEMPHIS – Suns forward Dragan Bender will have surgery to repair his injured right ankle on Wednesday, putting the rest of his rookie season in jeopardy.

Contrary to international reports, Bender's return for this season has not yet been ruled out, according to sources close to the situation. Bender recently left the Suns on this trip to have his ankle evaluated.

The biggest blow for the Suns is that the surgery stalls Bender’s development. The Suns decided long ago to play Bender and fellow rookie Marquese Chriss as much as possible to try to accelerate their development. Since Bender's injury, veteran forward Jared Dudley has taken the rookie's rotation spot. In Monday’s loss at New Orleans, Dudley – who recently missed time with illness -- had seven points, five rebounds and four assists.

An arthroscopic surgery described as routine to remove a bone spur on his left ankle sounds encouraging at first read.

Actually it is good news Bender is no longer wearing a protective boot to protect his ankle.

I just mean it's a bummer he'll miss the rest of the year. This is prime time for him to get some solid burn while we suck.

It sounds like he might make it back towards the end of the season. Anyway, no rush.

Way I look at it... young big man with any kind of foot ankle surgery? Don't rush him back. End the season, take care of injury and get healthy for next season.
