DJ use to be more aggressive and less cute at the goal line - should have plowed into that one defender instead of angling for the pylon, pretty boy football is not needed on that play

Doesn’t look like Russel Wilson? Quicker - but seems closer to the line - or something

KM is more Manzeil with speed than Wilson with speed.

I wish. Wilson is taller. Kyler Murray is very short and we will see more batted balls. But other than that, I really don’t have any concerns about Murray

I think we just need to teach the Oline to move defenders and create lanes, also practice more as if there is a mobile qb.

I like Murray, dude has heart and wants to win and hates to lose. I like that!

    4th quarter was epic

i think defensive strategy was a part of it

it seemed that the Lions had guys not really rushing but standing in throwing lanes

on two of them, im not sure a 6-4 QB would have put it over him

If he was a 6'4" that wouldn't have been their defensive game plan.

His mechanics are shite. He constantly throws off his toes / front foot.

It doesn't negate the height concern but he needs some coaching / experience more than he needs 3 inches of height

Four batted balls, the last one killed the drive for a possible game winning FG. DC's are going to watch film of this and have DL stand up our OL and time Murray's release and get their hands up to bat down the ball. Fitz said it helped because it limited the number of pass rushes giving Murray time in the pocket but better defenses are going to mix up blitz packages to fluster Murray.

It's height... as Drew Brees stated early on, he had to learn how to slide in space and throw through windows

From the limited sample size, I think the kid throws more accurately when he's moving...Which makes the lack of designed bootlegs baffling.

I feel like he might have been discouraged from running, or maybe he's trying to prove that he can be a pocket QB?

How the hell else can you explain Stafford having more rushing yards??

At any rate, the O-line performed WAY past my expectations today.... If he's not rolling out.... 4-5 batted passes will become 8-9 when we face a good defense.

Sam Darnold had three batted balls today. Its not height. It's mechanics.
