Florida State baseball finished its ACC Tournament appearance with a loss to Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals, but the Seminoles did finish with a record of 38-17 (19-11 ACC). Despite the tough defeat, their ranking has not changed all that much.
D1Baseball's post-conference tournament and NCAA Tournament bracket reveal rankings have been very telling, as FSU now sits at No. 12 in the nation.
They are now sandwiched between the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies (39-14) and No. 13 Kansas Jayhawks (42-16). The ACC still has just three ranked teams in the updated poll, with Florida State locked in as the third-best ACC team behind the No. 2 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and No. 4 North Carolina Tar Heels.
FSU's upcoming schedule is the NCAA Tournament, beginning with the Tallahassee Regional, where they host Coastal Carolina, Northern Illinois, and St. John's.
Their first game will be against St. John's, and looking ahead, they will either stay in the winner's bracket or fall to the loser's bracket. The NCAA Tournament's regional rounds are double elimination, and FSU's game against St. John's will start on Friday at 3 p.m. ET and be on the ACC Network.
