The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed restricted free agent CB David Barrett, who was previously tendered a one-year, $1.3 million deal.

I like Barret, he's tough and play's hard. I think he will turn out to be a good third CB for us.

Barrett made some nice open-field tackles and recognized some plays pretty well.

I have watched him closely for that last two seasons, he is alot better than people are giving him credit for... I dont think he is a "shut down corner" but the guy is very very solid.

And he is very very solid with out a pass rush, so I want to hang on to him in case we ever get a pass rush somday

A restricted free agent, Barrett signed a one-year contract for $1.318 million, the amount of the qualifying offer the club made to him in February to retain a right of first refusal on his services. The offer was reflective of Barrett's importance to the Cardinals, who could have made him a qualifying tender as low as $605,000 .

I'm glad we signed Barrett.

But I still think we're somewhat weak at CB opposite Starks. Either David has to improve (a definite possibility) or we need to add someone who can play the position better.
