Another piece of Auburn basketball's 2026-27 schedule has been revealed.
Auburn Athletics announced Wednesday that the Tigers will compete in the Rocket City Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 15, against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Probst Arena in Huntsville. Auburn's participation in the Rocket City Classic will mark the second time that Auburn has competed in this event, and the first time since 2023 that the Tigers have played a game in Huntsville.
“We are excited to return to Huntsville and play in front of the Auburn family,” Auburn head coach Steven Pearl said of the game. “This is a tremendous opportunity to compete at a neutral site against a perennially competitive program in Middle Tennessee. I have great respect for Coach McDevitt, and I know he will have his team ready to play.”
Middle Tennessee finished with a 17-15 record during the 2025-26 season, losing to Louisiana Tech in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament. The Blue Raiders ranked No. 175 in the KenPom last season and ranked No. 162 in the NET.
With Wednesday's announcement, Auburn has now announced five nonconference games for next season. The Tigers are guaranteed three games in the Players Era 8 in Las Vegas, beginning Nov. 17 against West Virginia. Auburn will also face Wisconsin on Dec. 19 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
