• Arizona first baseman Paul Goldschmidt had hit safely in nine of his last 10 games entering Monday, with six homers in that span. The hot streak all started with his three-homer game at Wrigley Field on Aug. 3.

• All-Star outfielder George Springer sat out Sunday's game in Arlington after playing in four consecutive games since coming off the disabled list (quad injury). He's expected to return to the lineup Monday against the D-backs
