Just like Torey...hovering around .500 (or below) for his entire managerial career...time for a change - even if Hazen won't make one.Marte... he can be frustrating to watch at times. No excuse as to why he was essentially jogging to 3rd base, even if he was thinking there was no way he'd be sent home. Just pure laziness. But damn... a 4-hit game and back to back 9th inning game-winner homeruns. Amazing!
All of you arm-chair GM and Manager geniuses can continue to take shots at Hazen and Torey... Meanwhile, while most everyone thought they tossed in the towel by being bigtime sellers at the deadline, they still are able to battle through and gut out wins...with a bullpen comprised of dudes nobody ever heard of before this year.
Hazen and Torey aren't perfect... Nobody is. But, IMHO, similar to the '23 World Series season which was a masterful GM and Manager job, this season is right there with that year. With the historic amount of injuries and trades, it's totally reasonable why everyone wrote this team off. The fact that they're able to hover around .500 is a minor miracle...
There may very well be a change… but it would merely be change for the sake of change. Torey has more than earned his keep and the right to continue to lead this team…Just like Torey...hovering around .500 (or below) for his entire managerial career...time for a change - even if Hazen won't make one.
