Cards starters started and played a little in preseason this year,
And first 2 games looked like it, still look and coach still saying that he expects a big jump game to game in the early regular season. That’s my complaint compared to say when I started watching Leroy Kelley and the browns in say 1969. Those guys were ready opening day in a 12 game season. Still matters , still don’t think the teams are prepared for peak performance until after the 4th regular season game, and every game matters. It is by choice, and it’s a poor choice, compared to my time in the army. Where you’re dead if you are not prepared at the start, and may be dead anyway against a veteran enemy.
Mac jones had more playing time then purely in the preseason, muscle memory, crisp response, of course a good punch in the face erases that! But wanted to point that out, that hesitation that Kyler has before pulling the trigger, or running ,hurts the cards. This is noners starter in the preseason. Ai version
The San Francisco 49ers' starters played limited snaps in their preseason games, following coach Kyle Shanahan's strategy to prioritize player safety and avoid injuries.
Preseason Game 1 against the Denver Broncos:
• No starters played, with second-string players and backups taking the field.
Preseason Game 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders:
• Quarterback Brock Purdy played for a few series, getting some snaps after signing his new contract.
• Tight end George Kittle was expected to participate in at least one series to get into rhythm before the season.
• Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall likely played alongside Purdy, and most of the offensive line saw action with caution around Trent Williams due to his age and injury risk.
Regular Season:
Now, with the regular season underway, Mac Jones is expected to start against the Arizona Cardinals, while Brock Purdy's status remains questionable due to his injury .
